Mt. Lassen Sunrise; Lassen Volcanic National Park is one of my favorite places in the whole world, located in northern California. The summit of Lassen Peak Volcano offers views over the surrounding wilderness. A network of trails through forest and around several lakes connects with the Pacific Crest Trail in the north. A wonderful area for hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, photography, wildlife viewing, exploring, birdwatching, meditation, camping, swimming, canoeing, anything your imagination can come up with. ... it's difficult for ones imagination to have a limit here. It’s a wonderful place to visit all year round, but the main highway through the park is closed around 9 months every year, due to massive amounts of snow.

Maria is the name my mother gave me. I am a minimalist, a Kindergarten Teacher, a gardener, and a hiker addicted to photography. My art prints is a results of my (inner and outer) explorations. I am a single mom in my early 40's, content, and happy. I have enjoyed photography for 35 years. My first camera was a Hasselblad gifted to me by my grandmother. My explorations are closer to home and heart. I enjoy learning more about the beautiful region Dalarna (Sweden) where I live. I also constantly explore different ways of living a more self sufficient life, and becoming a better version of me. I hope my photos bring you joy and happiness! Love, Maria
