Lassen Volcanic National Park; One of my favorite places in the whole world, located in the north eastern corner of California. The summit of Lassen Peak Volcano offers views over the surrounding wilderness. A network of trails through forest and around several lakes connects with the Pacific Crest Trail in the north. A wonderful area for hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, photography, wildlife viewing, exploring, birdwatching, meditation, camping, swimming, canoeing, anything your imagination can come up with. It’s a wonderful place to visit all year round, the main highway through the park is closed around 9 months every year, due to snow. This photo was taken May 27th, 2018. The first day the park highway was open for the season.

Maria is the name my mother gave me. I am a minimalist, a Kindergarten Teacher, a gardener, and a hiker addicted to photography. My art prints is a results of my (inner and outer) explorations. I am a single mom in my early 40's, content, and happy. I have enjoyed photography for 35 years. My first camera was a Hasselblad gifted to me by my grandmother. My explorations are closer to home and heart. I enjoy learning more about the beautiful region Dalarna (Sweden) where I live. I also constantly explore different ways of living a more self sufficient life, and becoming a better version of me. I hope my photos bring you joy and happiness! Love, Maria
